A western Washington heirloom that grows consistently large bulbs. Whitish yellow bulb wrappers with pink streaks on the clove wrappers; pinkish purple is more concentrated on outer cloves, turning to a creamy blush on inner cloves. The color shows through bulb wrappers when peeled down for braiding.
Pungent - hot raw, almost nutty when roasted. Stores up to a year after harvest; use by the end of June.
